Visual Development Unit/Nick Ballon Collaboration

I had been thinking on an idea that was inspired by the Sonic Youth years for a while and approached Nick Ballon and Matt Coleman to see if they were interested in getting involved, they said yes and now we have just recently completed the video and photography shoot.
So..... a collaboration with the photographer Nick Ballon and the Visual Development Unit resulting in a Cinéma vérité exploring youth and culture. The scene is set for a group of friends on the come down from a night out in the grunge era of the 90s to the sound of Economy Wolf.
The video in a sense holds a different light to the photo shoot, which is rather more bleak in nature, capturing the emptiness we were feeling for the idea. Whereas in the moving images, we devised and married it with the chosen track to give it a more observational feel to it.
The photoshoot will feature in September's issue of URB magazine.
